The universal method for assessing the quality of any diamond, anywhere in the world. These four characteristics determine a diamond's rarity and value.

Cut

The artistry of a diamond's cut determines its ability to transmit light and sparkle intensely.

Color

Diamond color is graded from D (colorless) to Z. The most valuable are those with the least color.

Clarity

Clarity measures the absence of inclusions and blemishes. Fewer imperfections mean greater rarity.

Carat

Carat weight measures a diamond's apparent size. One carat equals 200 milligrams.
